Adams, Greer, Dortch Make College Choices

Class of 2014 Chicago Orr stars Lou Adams Jr., Tyquone Greer and Demetrius Dortch have all now made their collegiate decisions, and all are headed to strong junior college programs.

Adams Jr., a 6'3 guard, has signed with Indian Hills, Greer, a 6'6 forward, has signed with Daytona State and Dortch, a 6'2 guard, has signed with Cincinnati State.

Indian Hills spent a good part of this past season ranked #1 in the country, as did Cincinnati State in the NJCAA Division II junior college rankings. Daytona State was home to former Farragut star Rashaun Stimage (DePaul) this past season.

Orr is coming off of a stellar 2013-14 season which saw them again rank among the top teams in the state of Illinois, and again advanced downstate to the IHSA 3A state finals before falling to Morgan Park in the semifinals.

6'8 Marlon Jones, another standout from the team, has signed to play for Loyola.

Summer Challenge Set For July 11-13

The 3rd Annual Chicago Summer Challenge is set to run July 11-13 at Riverside-Brookfield High School.  The event is NCAA Certified for Division I coaches to attend and will feature 15U, 16U and 17U age divisions.
A wealth of top programs are already committed to compete including the Illinois Wolves, MoKan Elite, Spiece Indy Heat, SW Illinois Jets, REACH Legends, Spiece Gym Rats, Full Package, Net Gain, Illinois Celtics, All-Missouri Attack, llinois Old School, Rising Stars, Ilinois Crush, Queen City Cavs, DC Hoops, Illinois Bears, PrymeTyme, Illinois Ice Men, Chicago Demons, Spiece Indy Ice, Indiana Dawgs, Young & Reckless, Indiana Game and Fieldhouse Elite just to name a few.

The event features pool play and single-elimination tournament format with trophies for 1st and 2nd place finishers in each age division.

The registration fee for the event is $475 for one team, $450 per team for two teams, or $425 per team for three or more teams.

The registration deadline for the event is June 24.  Register Early!  Space is limited for this high-exposure event.

The event is expected among the largest in the Midwest.

Roland Griffin Picks Up GWU Offer

Class of 2015 West Aurora star Roland Griffin has picked up a scholarship offer from George Washington University.

Griffin, a 6'6 wing, brings excellent size and versatility to the table. Griffin ranks among the top prospects in the state of Illinois for the 2015 recruiting class.

Griffin is competing on the travel team circuit with Wisconsin-based Playground Elite. Griffin has been one of Playground Elite's standout performers in the Nike EYBL.

Vincennes Lands Lawndale's Keith Mack

Vincennes has again tapped into the state of Illinois for a recruit and have now secured a commitment from class of 2014 Chicago North Lawndale star Keith Mack.

Mack, a versatile 6'6 wing, is a player who can impact games on both ends of the floor.  Mack has excellent size and can effectively guard both the 2 and 3 spots on the floor.

Offensively, Mack is a solid finisher at the rim who can make plays in the lane.

Landing Mack comes on the heels of Vincennes signing Mooseheart's star 2014 duo of 6'9 Makur Puou and 6'6 Mangisto Deng earlier this week.

Chris Sullivan Commits To Brown

Former Loyola Academy star Chris Sullivan of Northfield Mount Hermon School (MA) has now committed to play in the Ivy League for Brown University.

Sullivan, a 6'3 guard, competed on the travel team circuit with Full Package Athletics as a prep.

Sullivan's older brothers, Peter and Matt, both also played in the Ivy League at Brown.
