Anderson Adds WIU, Drake Offers

Class of 2015 Alton star Carlos Anderson of the SW Illinois Jets has now added scholarship offers from Drake and Western Illinois to his collection.

Anderson a strong-framed 6'4 wing led the Jets to a share of the 17U title at the Chicago Summer Challenge.

Anderson showed well at both the Hoops 247 All-American Combine as well as at the Summer Challenge where he was watched by Drake head coach Ray Giacoletti and Western Illinois head coach Billy Wright.

Pat McNamara Scores Hartford Offer

Class of 2015 St. Viator star Pat McNamara of Mercury Elite-Thomas has now picked up a scholarship offer from the University of Hartford.

The Hartford offer is the first Division I offer for McNamara, a 6'5 shooting guard with a high degree of skill.

McNamara had strong showings over the weekend at both the Hoops 247 All-American Combine as well as at the Chicago Summer Challenge with Mercury Elite.

Glynn Watson Picks Up Maryland Offer

Class of 2015 St. Joseph High School star Glynn Watson of the Illinois Wolves has now added a Big 10 scholarship offer from Maryland to his collection.

Watson is one of the top point guard prospects nationally in the 2015 recruiting class.

Watson had a strong showing over the weekend at both the Hoops 247 All-American Combine as well as at the Chicago Summer Challenge where he was evaluated by Maryland head coach Mark Turgeon.

Watson is set to compete this weekend with the Illinois Wolves at the Under Armour Finals in Atlanta, Georgia.

Chicago State Offers Evan Gilyard

Class of 2017 Chicago Simeon star Evan Gilyard of Illinois Crush has picked up a scholarship offer from Chicago State University.

Gilyard, a 5'10 point guard, earned valuable varsity minutes as a freshman this past season at Simeon.

Gilyard had strong showings over the weekend at both the Hoops 247 All-American Combine as well as at the Chicago Summer Challenge.

Gilyard scored 39 points in a highly anticipated match-up against Mahir Williams and eventual 16U co-champion Young & Reckless at the Summer Challenge.

Gilyard ranks among the top prospects in a loaded Illinois class of 2017.

MoKan Elite, Y&R Share 16U Challenge Title

MoKan Elite and Young & Reckless shared the 16U title at the 2014 Chicago Summer Challenge over the weekend at Riverside-Brookfield High School.

Michael Porter (Columbia, MO), the top 2017 prospect in the country, led MoKan with 27 points in a win over the REACH Legends to claim their share of the title.

Antonio Williams (Proviso East) was among the standouts for Young & Reckless who knocked off the Illinois Bears and MoKan Select to grab a share of the crown.

Better than 250 college coaches came through the doors at the Summer Challenge over the weekend including better than 50 NCAA Division I head coaches.
