Rakocevic Talks Game, Summer, Recruiting

Class of 2016 St. Joseph High School (IL) star Nick Rakocevic of the Mac Irvin Fire is one of the hottest post prospects nationally in his class.

Rakocevic, who stands 6'10, is a dazzling combination of size and overall basketball skill. He can come down the floor and bang a triple on possession, and score back-to-the-basket on the next.

Rakocevic is the top overall prospect in the Illinois class of 2016.

I caught up with Rakocevic to the latest on his recruiting including the recent Florida offer, his game and well as his thoughts on the summer.

Talk about the Florida visit and offer?

“The Florida visit was awesome they have a great campus, great facilities, great environment and most important great coaches. I had a great time.”

How is recruiting going as a whole and what other schools are in the mix?

“It's going great, some schools who are involved Florida, Texas, UCLA, Kansas, Kansas State, Illinois Michigan and Michigan State.”

What areas of your game are you working to improve this fall?
,br> “Definitely need to get stronger, work on my ball handling and foot work, also my range when it comes to shooting. I just want to get better and keep improving.”

How did you feel your summer went?

“It ended pretty well. I thought it could have went a little bit better, but I still thought it went well.”
