Zak Irvin scored 30 points, including 26 in the second half to fuel Hamilton Southeastern to a 64-59 win over Trey Lyles and Indianapolis Tech on Saturday night in a battle of titans.
Irvin hit a huge triple with just over 2 minutes to play to put HSE up 53-52 and calmly closed out the scoring for HSE by draining six free throws.
Lyles was equally impressive on the night putting his dazzling all-around skills on display en route to a monster 25-point, 16-rebound effort.
HSE improves to 14-1 on the season with their lone loss coming to Mount Vernon. Tech falls to 15-3 on the season.
