Former Oak Park-River Forest and Full Package star Gabe Levin of St. Thomas More has now committed to play for Loyola Marymount.
We caught up with Levin who broke down his commitment.
Talk about the commitment to Loyola Marymount and why it was the best decision?
“It is a prestigious academic school and a really nice campus. They have a great coaching staff and the players are all committed to winning and working hard. They are great teammates and just overall a good situation for me.”
Talk about your relationship with the coaching staff?
“The coaching staff is really one of a kind. All of the coaches have great coaching backgrounds and are really committed to all their players. They made it feel like a second home on the visit and the coaches are all good people.”
What other schools did you consider?
“Michigan was interested but they had two of the same type of recruits and if Memphis had called earlier I would have consider them too. Coach Pastner seems like a great guy. Other schools inquired as well.”
Recap your post graduate year at St. Thomas More?
“It was a great season. I loved all my teammates. I can't stress enough how the team was so close and will forever be in touch. It was a real social team. I couldn't have asked for a better season, and Coach Jere Quinn is one of a kind.”
