A young combo guard prospect from southern Illinois impressed at the Hoosier Jam Fest. Robby Dosier is a 6’4” guard that plays with flare.
In their first game at the Hoosier Jam Fest he lit it up from deep. He literally could not miss from thee point range for his Illinois Bears 16U team. The 2015 prospect has a great feel for the game and understands when to score and when to set his teammates up.
Dosier has a plus handle and is quick off the bounce. When in the lane he looks to find open shooters and cutters. As a shooter he moves well without the ball and is quick in the catch and shoot. Overall you can tell he has a passion for playing the game.
We spoke with Dosier about his sophomore season at Carbondale High School.
“It was good. We lost to Cahokia in the sectionals. They got 2nd in state. That was the third time we had lost to them. They are a good team.”
What type of player would he say he is?
“I can run the point a little and play the two. I can shoot it. Penetrate and finish at the rim.”
Some of the schools that have shown early interest in Dosier include Missouri State, Rice, and SIU. He also will visit Oakland this summer.
