Finke is an athletic forward that has continued to get better throughout his career. Where he excels is as a stretch four. He is great in the pick and pop game. Finke is a plus perimeter shooter from mid-range and shoots it well from three for a power forward. His shot has great mechanics and a quick release. The four man is a quality passer that has a good feel for getting others involved. When working in the post he opens up giving his guard a good place to throw the pass. He is a solid back to the basket scorer that is improving facing up out of the post. Finke is solid on the glass although he will probably never be a dominant rebounder with more strength he could continue to make strides in this area. He is a perfect fit as a stretch four in the Illini's system.
