John A Logan is not finished with their stellar 2013 recruiting class just yet. Thursday they added a commitment from Alabama State transfer Tre Green.
Green is a big-time defender that is a good floor general with experience at the DI level. He is a really good passer that creates well for others and can hit open shots consistently. Green has put in significant work in his game and improved since his high school days at Simeon.
He discussed his decision to commit to John A Logan.
"I talked to some people that went to the school and did my research on them academically first. I found out that they put you in a position to take the right classes and all of the credits transfer to the next step which is a division one school."
The coaching staff led by Head Coach Kyle Smithpeters and superstar recruiter Zach Carpenter made him feel right at home.
"As far as basketball goes I had a good feel from the coaching staff when I took my visit there. They were cool and seemed like a players coach. Straight forward about the positions I will be in and how I can succeed if I worked hard and put forth the effort."
There was also one other part of Logan that stood out.
"The level of competition they play and how the players go to high or mid major schools."
What does he believe he will bring to the table this upcoming season?
"Experience and leadership. A player who can pretty much do everything."
