St. Viator shooting guard Ore Arogundade is one of the top guards in the state. He is a stat sheet stuffer that does everything for his high school team. The rising senior announced that he will be headed to Drake to play his college basketball.
We caught up with Arogundade find out why that was his choice.
“I felt comfortable with Drake, the whole coaching staff especially Coach Giacoletti, and it felt right! The recruiting class they have coming in is something special we can definitely make some noise down the road."
The rising senior talked about his relationship with Head Coach Ray Giacoletti and lead recruiter Todd Townsend.
“Coach Giacolletti believes in me and he believes in his program. When a coach believes in his players and program I believe the program can be really good! Me and him have been getting close ever since he offered me. Me and Coach Townsend have been close ever since he recruited me at NIU. I'm comfortable with the whole coaching staff."
Arogundade broke down how he will fit into the Bulldogs system and with their stellar recruiting class.
“I think I will produce in this system. Coach Giac says I have an opportunity to play right away. This recruiting class we have coming in is something special. I think we can make a run like the 2008 team did."
The St. Viator product was a standout with the Illinois Wovles throughout his prep career. He will team up with junior guards Mark Falotico and Roosevelt Smart to form one of the most dynamic backcourts in the state this upcoming high school season.
