6:30 PM Lake Forest vs Marian Catholic
Lake Forest is coming off an impressive season where they went 20-8. This year they will be led by junior power forward Evan Boudreaux. The talented forward ranks among the top prospects and post players in the state in 2015. He is a physical force down low scoring and rebounding who can also step out to knock down face up jumpers. They will be opposed by Marian Catholic who went 29-3 last season and will return their whole starting lineup. Marian Catholic is pushed by the state’s top floor general Tyler Ulis. The dynamic point guard lit up the Nike EYBL with his play during the spring and summer proving he was one of the top players at his position nationally.
8:30 PM Simeon vs Stevenson
This will be a rematch of the 4A state championship game from last season. The names will be different for four time defending state champion Simeon, but they still have plenty of talent. The Wolverines will be led by junior DJ Williams who is one of the state’s top prospects in his class. He is joined by fellow junior hybrid forward Edward Morrow who brings a ton of athleticism and energy to the table. Stevenson’s backcourt is among the best in the state. It is directed by superstar point guard Jalen Brunson. After a monster sophomore year he lit it up in the spring and summer to prove he is the nation’s top junior point guard. His running mate junior shooting guard Connor Cashaw is a smooth wing that puts up points in a hurry.
