Here is a recap of Week 1 of the Varsity Full Package Athletics Fall Exposure League. Matt Acevedo of the Knicks and Julian Torres of the Celtics were among the standout performers.
Warriors (52) Raptors (36)
The Raptors and Warriors kicked off varsity play. 2015'a Nick Coleman and Adrian Pierechanowski led the Warriors to the win with 11 points each.
Celtics (100) Suns (58)
The Suns effort was not unnoticed with Max Heeren scoring 25 points, but could not match the talent of the Celtics, who had six players reach double figures. 2014 forward Kenny Williams led the Celtics with 16.
Knicks (63) Blazers (60)
Matt Acevedo drilled 26 points for the Knicks. For the Blazers, Danny Duchaj led them with 13.
Thunder (56) Kings (57)
20 points by Nibra White and 19 by Makur Puou of the Thunder was matched by the Kings Jason Gant, who had 22, while 2014's Erick Locke and 6-7 Jovanni Harrell of the Kings partnered with Gant to lead a come from behind victory over the Thunder.
Clippers (58) Bobcats (33)
A 22 point game by Nick Rock of the Clippers highlighted the victory. Jonathan Rasool led the Bobcats with 10.
Pistons (71) Hawks (53)
Four players scored in double figures for the Pistons, led by Ben Canady's 18. Jack Koltin also scored 15. Cameron Krutwig led the Hawks with 16.
Bucks (63) Hornets (44)
Matthew Weaver's 14 points for the Hornets was not enough as the Bucks had three players in double figures. Ryan Cork led the Bucks with 13.
Nuggets (56) Cavs (46)
Keith Currie's game high 22 points for the Cavs weren't enough to top the balanced attack of the Nuggets. Evan Gorenstein, Nate Moses and Josh Wolf each had 10 for the Nuggets in the victory.
Bulls (67) Magic (20)
Ricky Cenar's 21 points for the Bulls led all scorers. Keeny Fornon led the Magic with 13.
