Plainfield East 2015 shooting guard Aaron Jordan continues to rack up the high-major offers. The big time perimeter shooter ranks as one of the top five prospects in the state’s junior class.
Thursday afternoon Jordan picked up an offer from Indiana after Head Coach Tom Crean saw him in open gym.
“Coach Crean and Coach Buckley both came down to watch open gym. When I was done playing coach said he really enjoyed watching me play. Then we went and sat down in my high school coach’s office. He explained to me many great things about Indiana. He also told me how they recruit and that I fit into what they are looking for. When he offered me my emotions ran wild.”
Jordan discussed what he likes about the Hoosiers program.
“They have a great education and huge alumni base. I also like how they have kids able to graduate within about three years.”
Coach Crean told Jordan they liked the versatility that he brings to the table. The Plainfield East star is a big time shooter that knocks down shots consistently from both three and mid-range. He is effective moving without the ball to get open and has a lethal one dribble pull up. His handles continue to improve and showed strides in that area during the summer.
Crean watched Jordan and his Illinois Stars 16U team play on the final day of the Chicago Summer Challenge during the first weekend of the July evaluation period.
The junior will visit Indiana for their Hoosier Hysteria event October 4.
