Simeon 2015 forward Ed Morrow had a big summer on the circuit with the Mac Irvin Fire 16U. Morrow is a tough and versatile prospect that plays with a lot of energy and a high activity level. He rebounds well and is efficient scoring around the basket. During the summer he made strides in his perimeter game being able to put the ball on the deck and improved his face up shot.
We spoke with the junior about how his game is coming along.
“I can say over the summer I got a lot more confident with putting the ball on the ground within 15 feet from the rim. Being able to take the mid-rage and three. Being able to push the ball in transition.”
Morrow broke down his current offer list.
“Iowa, Iowa State, Nebraska, Bradley, and UMass.”
Iowa is a school that is starting to recruit him more aggressively and Morrow is intrigued by what he sees out of the Hawkeyes.
“I like the Iowa coach’s style of play. How he tries to get out and push the ball in transition. He likes to get his men full court and allows his guys to play every position.”
Bradley has built a tight relationship with Morrow early in the process and has had him to their campus.
“The facilities when I went down on a visit were better than I thought it would be. Nice coach. I love the atmosphere and players.”
Morrow has a few visits scheduled before the Wolverines begin their season.
“Iowa, Massachusetts, and Nebraska as well.”
The Simeon forward is a top 10 prospect in the state and will be one to watch this season.
