Simeon 2014 shooting guard Donte Ingram didn't take a long time to make a commitment after receiving his latest offer on Tuesday night. Shortly after picking up an offer from Loyola the guard committed to the Missouri Valley program.
Ingram told us why they were his choice.
"I could really picture myself being in a Rambler jersey. I feel I fit in the team system and will make the best of my opportunity."
He discussed how the recruiting process went with Loyola and ended with a verbal on Tuesday night.
"I've been in contact with the school for a while and on all the visits I've taken I could just feel this was the best choice for me. Having deep talks with family, coaches, and close friends really opened up my eyes to the opportunity presented."
Head Coach Porter Moser and his staff did a great job of sealing the deal on this commitment as Ingram was a target of several other programs. He talked about his relationship with his future coaching staff.
"I like the coaching staff and the love that they show me. I look forward to building an even stronger relationship with them."
Ingram has a family connection to the Loyola program with his older brother Dajuan Gouard having played there.
"He's always been here for me and whatever questions I ever have I know I can come to him. I'm excited to play for the same university as my brother and I look to leave a mark on the program as he did himself."
Ingram is a scoring left handed wing that shoots it well especially when in rhythm. He handles it and his athleticism allows him to get to the hoop.
This is the third commitment in Loyola's 2014 class along with Ben Richardson and Jay Knuth.
This past July Ingram ran with SYF on the circuit.
