6'7 Terrell Phipps Has Great Upside

Class of 2016 Al Raby power forward Terrell Phipps is a prospect that has continued to produce in each setting we have seen him while still displaying considerable upside.

Phipps is a raw post player that that great measurables at 6’7” with long arms and an athletic body.  He showed some potential on the circuit and continues to display that upside this fall.  He rebounded at a high rate at the recent Pangos All-Midwest Frosh/Soph Camp and finished well with a soft touch.  At times he can drift to the perimeter a little too much although he can knock down a face up jumper.  Defensively Phipps blocks shots.

We spoke with the sophomore to get his impressions of the camp.

“It went wonderful.  I played hard and had fun.  I learned new things and gained experience.”

During July he played with Young and Reckless 15U where he teamed up with Brandon Johnson to form one of the best front lines in the state.  We were impressed with him on the circuit and have continued to see growth in his game.  Phipps says he is striving to continuously get better.

“My game progressed because I am a hard worker and I dedicated myself to this game.”
